Welcome to the WaveSieve Privacy Policy. This document explains how WaveSieve ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our AI audio processing services at wavesieve.app.

Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: Name, email address, and profile picture provided when you register directly or sign in through Google or GitHub.
• Audio Files: Audio files you upload for AI processing (cleanup, vocal removal, or speech-to-text). Format conversion runs entirely in your browser and does not upload any files to our servers.
• Payment Information: Billing details processed through Stripe. WaveSieve does not directly store your credit card numbers or payment credentials.
• Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our services, including features used, AI credits consumed, pages visited, and time spent.
• Device Information: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers used to access our services.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

• To provide audio processing services, including format conversion, audio cleanup, vocal separation, and speech-to-text transcription
• To process payments and manage subscriptions and credit balances
• To send service notifications and newsletters (with your consent)
• To provide customer support
• To improve service quality and performance
• To detect, prevent, and address technical issues and abuse

Audio Data Processing

WaveSieve handles your audio data differently depending on the feature:

• Format Conversion: Runs entirely in your browser using FFmpeg.wasm. Your audio file never leaves your device.
• AI Features (Audio Cleanup, Vocal Remover, Speech to Text): Your audio file is uploaded to our servers, temporarily stored via S3-compatible storage, and sent to third-party AI model providers for processing.
• After Processing: Uploaded input audio is deleted after the AI task finishes, whether it succeeds or fails. Generated downloadable audio output files are retained for up to 30 days so you can access your results. Transcript text remains available in your account history unless you request deletion.

We do not use your audio files for any purpose other than providing the processing service you requested.

Data Retention

• Uploaded Input Audio: Deleted after the processing task reaches a completed or failed state.
• Generated Audio Output Files: Retained for up to 30 days after processing, then deleted from storage.
• Transcript Text: Retained in your account history until you request deletion, unless a shorter period is required by law or operational safeguards.
• Account Data: Retained until a support-assisted deletion request is completed.
• Payment Records: Payment, tax, transaction, and minimal compliance records are retained for the periods required by applicable law, even after account deletion.
• Usage Data: Retained in anonymized or aggregated form for service improvement.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate WaveSieve:

• Stripe — Payment processing for subscriptions and credit purchases. Stripe Privacy Policy
• Replicate — AI model hosting for audio processing (Demucs for vocal separation, Resemble Enhance for audio cleanup, Whisper for speech-to-text). Replicate Privacy Policy
• S3-Compatible Storage — Temporary storage for audio files during processing.
• Resend — Transactional email delivery and newsletter distribution. Resend Privacy Policy
• Google and GitHub — OAuth authentication for social login.
• Analytics Services — Anonymous, page-level usage statistics for signed-out visitors on public marketing pages only. We do not enable session replay, and analytics or affiliate scripts are not loaded for signed-in users or on authentication, payment, account, private audio-workspace, or tokenized transcript-share pages.

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your data.

Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Audio files are transmitted over encrypted connections and stored temporarily with access controls.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data by visiting your account settings
• Delete eligible account data by contacting us. Please cancel any active subscription before requesting account deletion. Direct self-service deletion is not available.
• Unsubscribe from newsletters at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email
• Request information about what data we hold about you
